The World Cup 2022 logo was revealed yesterday for the very first time via an international digital campaign. The campaign saw the big logo reveal shown on the most prominent giant digital screens in more than 20 locations across the globe, including London’s Leicester Square and New York’s Times Square.
The new emblem has been designed using the colour of host country Qatar’s flag. But what meaning does the emblem hold? The diagram below describes some of the thoughts that went into the design.
As you’d expect, there’s been a mixed reaction to the design. Either way we’re all going to be seeing a lot more of this logo in the build up to the World Cup which starts in November 2022.
